Thank you to Westminster Presbyterian:

For your fantastic efforts in this year's Volunteer Project!

Over a two week period, Westminster Presbyterian ripped up, put back, painted,
scrubbed, decorated and completely renovated our 4th floor. This was an
amazing 2 weeks, and probably 2 months prior planning for the event. God had
a plan for everyone—the volunteers, the outside contractors, the residents and
the staff—as the wonderful project unfolded.

Starting each day with fellowship and prayer,
the crew, numbering over 40, took the elevator
and steps upstairs to begin the day’s tasks.
At times it appeared there was no way it was
going to get done, but it did—and boy did it!
For those of you that have already seen the
rooms, “amazing,” “beautiful,” “looks like a
bed ‘n’ breakfast,” were the words we heard.
At the conclusion, 13 rooms, the hallway and a
family room scrubbing to boot.

The amazing part of the week was the fellowship
and interaction between the residents and
Westminster. There was a prayer list, and every day, teams would leave the project to pray for items on the list. Amazing things happened and continue to happen for residents who wrote items down.

The week ended with a magnificent fellowship/celebration of a
job well done, and praise to God for the great experience. Several
residents said this project made them feel as if people do care
about them, that it isn’t just a building, but a collaboration of TLC
and the community, with God’s love and strength wrapping His
arms around them as they move toward permanent housing. The
pictures and words here do not do it justice. Residents and
volunteers were equally rewarded. From the bottom of our
hearts, we thank you, Westminster Presbyterian, and hope
we can walk in friendship in the future as we work together on the
issues surrounding homelessness.

Thank you, and God’s peace, each and every one of you.
