mentoring at TLC

Mentoring changes the lives of everyone involved. Your match will inspire you, challenge you, teach you, and give you a new perspective into their world. Anyone with an open heart, patience, resilience, and hope is invited to become a mentor. Without personal relationships and a support system, material resources only go so far to end the cycle of homelessness.

People are waiting ... you could be the one to change their story ... to let them know that someone does care and is willing to show them by giving them time and attention.

We are looking for people who would like to make a 1-2 year commitment to mentor a client. Being a mentor would help provide a healthy relationship and a support system for participants at TLC. Mentors work with a team of 3-5 mentors, mentor coordinator, and the TLC division manager.

If you would like to receive more information about TLC and the TLC Mentor Program, please contact Division Manager for TLC, Homeless Outreach, and Veterans Programs, Roger Steffy at or (717) 397-3034.
