Small in number, mighty in spirit

On Friday November 25, members of Christ Covenant Church in Conestoga distributed 80 bags filled with toiletries, hats, gloves, socks and snacks to those experiencing homelessness or poverty and another 40 bags to the participants living at TLC Lancaster.

This congregation, small in numbers (25 members) but mighty in spirit, made this a year-long mission for the second year in a row. They held 4 events to raise the money and had numerous work nights at the church where every member helped sort and stuff the bags. They met with the Community Homeless Outreach Worker, Guy Boyer at 4:30 pm before the evening meal at St. Mary’s Church in Lancaster to distribute the bags. Many thanks to Tom Haddad and his family, who spearheaded the mission and to Pastor Mark Conrad, his family, and the entire congregation at Christ Covenant Church.
