I Love What I Do Every Day at TLC

Walking down the street and hearing “Hello Wendi” is always a treat to turn and see who it might be.

This past week I was presently surprised to see a past participant of Veterans' Victory House. This person stopped to chat with me, wanting me to know he was on his way to probation office for ONE LAST TIME… he said after this he is a free man to leave the county and or even the state if he wishes.

I stuck out my hand to shake his while saying “I want you to know how proud I am of you” with that he said, “Can I please give you a hug?” and we both hugged each other and parted ways with happy tears in our eyes. Just when I needed it the most I was reminded of why I love what I do every day at TLC.
